Coming Soon! Child Leashes

I am in the process of making 2 types of child leashes. I cant stand those harness's. I dont like the way they look so I came up with my own more fashionable version. I will have 2 types. One for toddlers that will attach to the toddlers wrist and the other end to the parent or a stroller with velcro. This allows him or her to walk beside you or the stroller with out taking off. The other is for older toddlers. It has a metal ring attached to one end so the child can hold on during the times that you need them to for instance a parking lot or crowded area. They can just let go when they are done using it. The other end you can attach to the stroller with velcro. These will be made out of decorative ribbon with boy and girl themes. For my first leashes the ribbon's will be black and white soccor balls for boys and black and white polka dots for girls. I am hoping to have photos posted by this weekend. The leashes will be $4 each.

How do you tell your identical or same sex twins apart when they are babies?

With my color coded or name pins. When my identical twin boys were born we couldnt tell them apart for atleast 6 months so I made name pins for them. This was a huge help not only to us but to our family and friends. My boys are 15 months and they still wear them to family events so I dont have to keep telling everyone who each boy is. I have attached a photo from when they were born and am working on posting a better photo of the pins. You can get the pins with their names up to 7 letters for 50 cents each or just solid colored beads in various colors to color code your twins. The color coded pins are only 25 cents each. I recommend getting a couple for each child. These pins are great not only for parents but family members, child care centers and school to help tell your multiples apart at any age. Baby Expo

I recently had the opprotunity to sell my straps at the Indianapolis Baby Expo at the fairgrounds and sold almost 100 of them. It was a great experience for me to get feed back from strangers. There was another stay at home mom who was selling cup/toy straps for $12 each. Hers were these very bulky fabric straps with a hard plastic clip to attach it to the stroller. The feed back that I received about my straps compared to hers was that mine were not only cheaper at 2 for $5 but more practical as far as very slim line, and black doesnt show dirt and spills. They also loved the adjustable straps on each end because you can attach it to pretty much anything. This really made me see that I have a great product! Now if I could just get people to know that my product is available. Any suggestions?

How it all started

I am a stay at home mom to my 4 1/2 year old daughter Mati and 1 year old identical twin boys Micah and Mason. After the boys were born I started coming up with ideas to make my life easier with twins. My husband made a feeding board when the boys were newborns so we could lay them on it and feed them at the same time. I was pumping and then bottle feeding them so I got the idea of cutting holes in my bra and attaching my breast pump so I could pump and feed the boys at the same time saving me 45 mins each feeding. With my boys being identical we couldnt tell them apart so I made safey pins with their names in beads so we wouldnt get them mixed up. It was great for our family too so we didnt have to keep telling everyone who was who. They still wear their name pins at family gatherings. A couple months ago I was looking for a cup and toy leash for the boys but couldnt find one that I liked at the price I wanted to pay so I walked down the fabric aisle at Wal-Mart and made my own. My friends in my twins group saw my invention and I made some for them. I decided that I really had a great product compared to what is on the market and am now trying to make this my part time job. Eventually I would like to have my own website selling cool baby products that make mom's job easier along with cool twin and multiples logo shirts. This blogspot is the start of my venture. I hope you enjoy following me and seeing where my venture takes me.

Happy Strappy's!

After much searching for a product that would attach sippy cups and toys to my twin boys whether they were in their car seats, stroller or high chair I finally gave up and made my own. My Happy Strappy has an adustable 12 inch strap on each end that allows you to wrap it around almost any toy, bottle, cup or pacifier. (Even the pacifier's that dont have a handle on them but the two little holes) It also has elastic between the straps which allows the child to extend it further if needed. No more playing the pick up game with your toddler. I keep 2 in my diaper bag for highchairs in a restaurant, 2 attached to my stroller and 1 attached to each twin's carseat strap. This way I dont have to take them on and off for each different place. With the low cost of just 2 for $5 or 1 for $3 you can afford to have several. To order this product just email me at melissasmultiples@yahoo.com with your order and I will email you a paypal invoice. Just pay with your credit card and once I receive your payment I will mail you the product. Shipping is just $1.50 per $5 spent. (discounts apply with larger orders) This covers the cost of postage, the envelope and the cost of the credit card transaction.
